  1. WINCOIN 3.2 Install Instructions
  2.  
  3. If you have WINCOIN as one file, ie. a ZIP file, uncompress the
  4. file using PKUNZIP.  You can uncompress into a temporary directory
  5. on your hard drive.
  6.  
  7. Run SETUP from the Wincoin update disk, or from the temporary directory
  8. created.  You will be prompted for a directory.  Also, you will be
  9. prompted for a program update or complete install or re-install.
  10.  
  11. Note: If any virus protection software is running, life VSAFE, you may
  12.       need to remove this for the installation to work.
  13.  
  14. Note: Wincoin requires VBRUN300.DLL. The SETUP1 program also requires
  15.       this file.  If you do not have this file, it should be available
  16.       seperately from the same source that you got Wincoin.  Put this
  17.       file into your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory before installing.

  19. Follow the instructions during the setup for a complete installation.

  22.            MANUAL INSTALLATION

  24. If the SETUP program fails for any reason, you can "manually" install
  25. WINCOIN.  Copy all the files from the diskette into a temporary
  26. directory on your hard drive.  While in this temporary directory,
  27. type in "CONVERT".  This will expand the files.
  28.  
  29. For a new install, delete all the files with a "_".  All files with
  30. an extension of .VBX or .DLL should be put in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\
  31. directory and deleted out of your WINCOIN directory. If any of these
  32. files already exist and have the same or later date, do not replace
  33. then.  See READ.ME file for startup instructions if necessary.

  35. For an update, copy the following files into your Wincoin directory:
  36.    WINCOIN.EXE
  37.    WINCOIN.HLP
  38.    WINCOIN.QIK
  39.    1994.IMP
  40.    1995.IMP
  41.    USA.MNT       (only needed if mintages are to be loaded)
  42.    CANADA.MNT    (only needed if Canadian categories are to be loaded)
  43.    CANADA.IMP    (only needed if Canadian coins are to be loaded)
  44.    COMMDLG.DLL   to \windows\system directory
  45.    CMDIALOG.VBX  to \windows\system directory
  46.    THREED.VBX    to \windows\system directory
  47.  
  48. Files with a "_" (underscore) at the end can be deleted.
